*What’s a Chinese Auction?

Everyone at a Chinese auction has the opportunity to buy raffle tickets that are used to "bid" on the exciting prizes that have been donated for "auction." It's a raffle that calls for strategic thinking! You can place all of your tickets in one drawing basket, or put one ticket in every basket. The item goes to the person whose ticket is drawn, at random, from the basket. The more tickets you bid on an item, the better your chances of winning - but are you going after The Big Prize or a smaller item with fewer tickets in the basket? Do you want to bid early, or do you want to wait and see which items have the best odds? It's great fun, and you just might win the perfect gift for your very special someone. (You don't have to be present to win.) A great deal is 20 tickets for $20! - Or better yet, 50 tickets for $40 to increase your odds!?!
