Big Data – Making it Real

The Digital Rochester Big Data event will give attendees a better understanding of the basic concepts of Big Data and the opportunities it presents for businesses here in Rochester. The basic concepts will be presented by Steve Wallace, Founder and President of BizLitics LLC and former CIO at Vertis, Harris Interactive, and Constellation Brands. Wallace will explain the basics as he discusses “Big Data: the Next Frontier for Innovation, Competition, and Productivity.” Learn about the growth of Big Data, opportunities of harnessing Big Data, where Big Data is used in the real world and examples of business problems that can be addressed using Big Data.

Aaron Newman, CEO/Founder of CloudCheckr and former CEO/Founder of Techrigy will discuss how Big Data can be leveraged for Social Media to gain insights about consumers.

Marcia Olson, CEO at AviSmart Technologies, will both moderate the event and highlight practical examples of using Big Data and tips for getting started with your Big Data project. For those looking at the career potential in the field of Big Data, she will address some of the roles that exist in the field and the skills necessary for candidates. Who is Worldleaders? What do you do?

Worldleaders enables teams that sell complex solutions to win more sales. Our success is based on an integrated approach that encompasses sales method improvement, talent acquisition and sales force automation (SFA). We consult to small and medium sized businesses, with the singular goal of establishing ‘best in class’ sales processes to significantly increase revenues for our clients.

What is your biggest accomplishment?

We are very proud of the fact that in our short tenure, we have assisted over 40 clients achieve sales increases they themselves did not think could happen. We have established partnerships with the # 1 sales assessment company in the world, Objective Management Group, and also with one of the premier online training companies in the USA. As such we are able to offer these valuable services to our clients through our license agreements.

Do you have any big news to share?

We are producing a Salesforce.com application soon to be released and registered on the ‘Salesforce app. Exchange’. This application will provide guidance to sales personnel and sales management on the necessary elements of successful deal closure strategy enabling sales teams to increase their deal making success rate.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with the Digital Rochester community?

Worldleaders currently conducts monthly CEO roundtable sessions for the Rochester Regional Photonics Cluster, providing high level executives with strategies enabling them to interact more effectively with their sales organizations.
