Laura Segave

President

Laura Segave is Health IT Director for Innovative Solutions. She has held business and information technology leadership positions in corporate, healthcare, higher education, and not-for-profit environments. Laura serves as an adjunct faculty member at Roberts Wesleyan College in the Master of Science in Health Informatics Administration program. She is involved in various community board and leadership roles. Laura has an MBA and Master of Science degree from RIT and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Laura is currently President and Executive Committee Member with Digital Rochester and is committed to serving the Rochester technology community through Digital Rochester events which enable us to Learn, Connect, and Succeed together. Laura previously led the IT Leaders Special Interest Group.

 


Brian Carroll

President-Elect

Brian is an accomplished sales professional with a thorough knowledge of the Staffing Industry, Payroll and Human Resources. Over the past 8 years, his expertise as a workforce consultant has impacted the growth of many local and national firms, including several fortune 500 firms. Brian holds a BS in Business Administration from SUNY Cortland.

Brian is currently President-Elect and Executive Committee Member with Digital Rochester. As President-Elect, Brian works with the current President to define DR’s strategy and deliver our mission.


Lisa Doerner

Executive Director

Lisa has served as Digital Rochester’s Director of Operations since 2004. Prior to Digital Rochester, Lisa’s career included extensive experience in business operations, marketing communications, product marketing, solutions marketing, product launch and program management.

Lisa is the Executive Director and and Executive Committee Member with Digital Rochester. Lisa’s role includes working closely with all Board members to meet DR’s Mission and Vision. Lisa is responsible for the operations management of Digital Rochester and serves as the key focal point for Board members, volunteers, committees and community organizations.


Tom Agnello

Director of Finance

Tom is an accomplished sales executive with a successful track record of marketing, promoting, selling and growing business for professional services, software and hardware based organizations. A member of the former eBusiness Association, he joined the DR Board when the two organizations combined in 2010. Tom was a founding Board member of the eBA back in 1998.

As Director of Finance for Digital Rochester, Tom helps to manage the Finance Department that is the financial backbone of the organization and provides financial viability, accessibility and support to all of the Community and Operational Programs, to successfully execute their business plans.


David Hou

Director of Membership Development

David is an attorney with the law firm Boylan, Brown, Code, Vigdor & Wilson, LLP. David practices in the area of commercial litigation with a particular focus on representing clients in the areas of intellectual property – copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, and confidential information. David received his B.A. from the University of Chicago and his J.D. from Boston University. David serves as a legal advisor to Digital Rochester and also manages DR’s individual membership community.


Nicole Mahoney

Marketing Committee Chair

Nicole Mahoney is President of Break the Ice Media, a marketing communications firm focused on helping small- to mid-sized businesses grow through effective marketing programs. She has over 20 years of experience in marketing and business management and has owned several well-known small businesses in the Rochester area and has worked with dozens more. She holds a MA in Communication from SUNY Brockport and a BA in Business Administration from RIT.

Nicole and her committee handle all aspects of marketing and communications for DR including brand management, writing and executing a weekly eNewsletter, public relations, website content and managing all social media channels.


Jessica Nava

Dir. of Corporate Member Relations and Chair of the CEO Special Interest Group

Jessica is the Carrier Sales Manager for Finger Lakes Technologies Group. She has spent 14+ years in technology sales working with voice and data communications vendors in the northeast. She is a graduate of Drexel University, with a BS in Marketing & Business Administration.

Jessica sits on the Victor Chamber Board and was an AWC Board Member as the VP of Public Relations. As Director of Corporate Member Relations for DR, Jessica is the primary focal point for delivering value to our Corporate Members. By establishing a close relationship with our membership and understanding their business objectives, Jessica is able to ensure Corporate Members are taking advantage of all the benefits offered by DR.


Bob Kot

Entrepreneurial Special Interest Group

Bob joined High Tech Rochester in June 2011 as managing Director of New Ventures, a position responsibile for leading HTR’s efforts that accelerating the growth of local startup companies. He brings 35 years of experience, many as a CEO, president, GM and VP for sales and marketing as a result of working with venture capital-backed companies that provided technology-based products and integrated systems

At DR, Bob leads the Entrepreneurial SIG that provides education, thought leadership and networking to Rochester’s entrepreneurial community. These events target those with an interest or role in entrepreneurship, innovation, starting a business and/or managing a start-up business.


Sue Rodeman

Women in Technology Special Interest Group

Sue is VP of Product Marketing for Skillsoft (formerly Element K). She has 15+ years of experience working with customers and cross functionally to deliver innovative products and services. Sue has a B.A. in Accounting from the University of Dayton.

Sue leads the Women in Technology S.I.G. for Digital Rochester which focuses on providing professional growth to women in all technology fields through educational and career oriented topics as well as sponsoring the Annual Technology Woman of the Year Award.


Peter Platt

Digital Marketing Special Interest Group

Peter is the president of PSquared Digital, a digital marketing firm that helps business generate real business value from their digital marketing efforts. Peter is a 25-year veteran from the ad agency industry and has been involved in Internet marketing since the early 1990s. He was part of the team that built the original dupont.com web site in 1993, bought his first banner ad in 1996 (for Kodak film)! and was one of the first 100 people certified in the Google AdWords program in 2004. Peter’s experience brings together a unique combination of business development, account management, technology and strategic planning skills.

Peter provides an active voice to the internet marketing community, blogging and writing for iMedia, presenting at an array of conferences (including MediaPost & iMedia) as well as providing specific sessions on mobile, social, search and other forms of internet marketing.


Drew Pond

Finance Committee

Andrew D. Pond, CPA (Drew), is a Manager in the Auditing and Accounting Practice of Freed Maxick CPAs, P.C. where he is responsible for overseeing the planning, organization, supervision and completion of client engagements. Drew joined the Firm in 2011 after working for three years in internal audit and international tax at a multinational corporation based in Rochester. Prior to that, Drew spent 5 years at another large regional public accounting firm.

During his professional career, Drew has obtained a broad background in the manufacturing, health care, technology, service, retail, employee benefit plan, and not-for-profit industries. He has extensive experience with Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulatory and accounting matters. On a regular basis he oversees services required for clients filing periodic reports under the 1934 Securities Exchange Act.

A graduate of SUNY Geneseo, Drew is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and is the treasurer for Lutheran Church of Our Saviour, in Rochester.


Travis Masonis

IT Leaders Special Interest Group

Travis Masonis serves as CIO & Vice President of Information Technology at Jewish Senior Life. He previously worked at Nicholas H. Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville, NY, where he had been the Director of IT Infrastructure for the several years. Travis is also a member of the advisory panel for healthsystemcio.com. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Rochester Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Information Technology and earned his Master of Science in Health Informatics Administration at Roberts Wesleyan College.

Travis leads the DR IT Leaders SIG which focuses on emerging technologies, best practices, governance, and innovation in Information Technology. The goal of this group is to provide an educational, interactive, and collaborative forum, through its events, to foster growth and learning as it relates to IT in the Rochester community.
