Director of Corporate Member Relations

Steve Beyer is General Manager at Optimation Technology, a Rochester firm with 300+ employees providing advanced automation solutions to companies worldwide. Steve supports the business by driving growth in new segments and clients and through key client management and program development. He has held business and technology executive and management leadership positions in logistics automation, research and development, predictive engineering software, and systems engineering.

He also serves as a member of his church board, and is a past officer and member of the Licensing Executives Society and the Product Development Management Association. Steve is now Digital Rochester’s Director for Corporate Member Relations, and is committed to serving and more strongly connecting the Rochester technology community.

 

Laura Segave
Laura Segave

President

Laura Segave is Program Manager at United Technologies supporting Access Control Systems. She has held business and information technology leadership positions in corporate, healthcare, higher education, and not-for-profit environments. Laura serves as an adjunct faculty member at Roberts Wesleyan College in the Master of Science in Health Informatics program. She is involved in various community board and leadership roles. Laura has an MBA and Master of Science degree from RIT and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Laura is currently President and Executive Committee Member with Digital Rochester and is committed to serving the Rochester technology community through Digital Rochester events which enable us to Learn, Connect, and Succeed together. Laura previously led the IT Leaders Special Interest Group.

 


Brian Carroll

President-Elect

Brian is an accomplished sales professional with a thorough knowledge of the Staffing Industry, Payroll and Human Resources. Over the past 8 years, his expertise as a workforce consultant has impacted the growth of many local and national firms, including several fortune 500 firms. Brian holds a BS in Business Administration from SUNY Cortland.

Brian is currently President-Elect and Executive Committee Member with Digital Rochester. As President-Elect, Brian works with the current President to define DR’s strategy and deliver our mission.


Lisa Doerner

Executive Director

Lisa has served as Digital Rochester’s Director of Operations since 2004. Prior to Digital Rochester, Lisa’s career included extensive experience in business operations, marketing communications, product marketing, solutions marketing, product launch and program management.

Lisa is the Executive Director and an Executive Leadership Team member with Digital Rochester. Lisa’s role includes working closely with all Board members to meet DR’s Mission and Vision. Lisa is responsible for the operations management of Digital Rochester and serves as the key focal point for Board members, volunteers, committees and community organizations.


Tom Agnello

Chair of the CEO Special Interest Group

Tom is a Partner with Madison One Clearinghouse Network and President and CEO of M-One Advisors, LLC, a company focused on acquisitions, divestitures and family business transition services. He is an accomplished executive with a successful track record of marketing, promoting, and growing business for professional services, software and hardware based organizations. A member of the former eBusiness Association, he joined the DR Board when the two organizations combined in 2010. Tom was a founding Board member of the eBA back in 1998.

As Chair of the CEO Special Interest Group for Digital Rochester, Tom is the primary focal point for delivering value to our Corporate Members CEOs and CEOs within the Rochester community. By providing enlightening hot “C” level topics and a “C” level peer to peer networking environment for our Corporate Members and community CEOs/ Presidents, he is able to ensure Corporate Members are taking advantage of all the benefits offered by DR and informed on the latest “C” level topics of interest.


Nicole Mahoney

Marketing Committee Chair

Nicole Mahoney is President of Break the Ice Media, a marketing communications firm focused on helping small- to mid-sized businesses grow through effective marketing programs. She has over 20 years of experience in marketing and business management and has owned several well-known small businesses in the Rochester area and has worked with dozens more. She holds a MA in Communication from SUNY Brockport and a BA in Business Administration from RIT.

Nicole and her committee handle all aspects of marketing and communications for DR including brand management, writing and executing a weekly eNewsletter, public relations, website content and managing all social media channels.

Vida Tamoshunas
Vida Tamoshunas

Women In Technology Special Interest Group

Vida Tamoshunas, VP of Marketing Analytics at SIGMA Marketing Insights, leads a team of analysts responsible for delivering profiling, segmentation, predictive modeling and business intelligence reporting. With over 20 years of strategy and analytics experience, Vida brings a wealth of knowledge in applying insights and decision-making to drive performance. Vida holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University and an MBA from the University of Rochester – William E. Simon Graduate School of Business.

Vida heads up the Women In Technology Special Interest Group with Digital Rochester. She’s excited about the opportunity to help young professionals learn and grow in their careers.


Karl Heberger

Digital Marketing Special Interest Group

Karl Heberger is the Chief Media Strategist at Mason Digital, a full-service digital marketing firm in Penfield, NY. He has over fifteen years of experience building strategic and results-focused digital marketing solutions for clients in a wide array of industries. While well rounded in a multitude of digital marketing tools, platforms, and techniques; Karl’s focus on analytics has proven to be a differentiator for a growing list of clients interested in measurable and accountable advertising initiatives.

Karl leads DR’s Digital Marketing SIG, he is responsible for developing events that help educate DR members and the business community at large on topics and techniques in a fast-paced and ever-evolving industry. His goal is to simplify many complex technologies and concepts in order to empower marketing professionals, business owners, and executives through his work with DR and his regular column in the RBJ on the topic of digital marketing.


Moira Cooper

Membership Chair

Moira (“Molly”) Cooper is an Associate Attorney in Boylan Code LLP’s Litigation Practice, focused on general commercial litigation, including labor and employment, bankruptcy, and municipal law matters. Moira is an accomplished young professional with a passion for community development. She graduated summa cum laude from the University at Buffalo Honors College with a B.A. in Political Science and achieved her J.D. from SUNY Buffalo Law School, magna cum laude.

Moira is currently Chair of Membership with Digital Rochester. In this role, Moira develops and implements strategies to increase membership and serves as liaison between members and the Board of Directors. Moira also helps organize and promote annual events and serves as the contact point between Digital Rochester and various young professionals organizations throughout Western New York.


Peter Platt

Director of Technology Infrastructure

Peter is the president of PSquared Digital, a digital marketing firm that helps business generate real business value from their digital marketing efforts. Peter is a 25-year veteran from the ad agency industry and has been involved in Internet marketing since the early 1990s. He was part of the team that built the original dupont.com web site in 1993, bought his first banner ad in 1996 (for Kodak film)! and was one of the first 100 people certified in the Google AdWords program in 2004. Peter’s experience brings together a unique combination of business development, account management, technology and strategic planning skills.

Peter provides an active voice to the internet marketing community, blogging and writing for iMedia, presenting at an array of conferences (including MediaPost & iMedia) as well as providing specific sessions on mobile, social, search and other forms of internet marketing.


Drew Pond

Director of Finance

Andrew D. Pond, CPA (Drew), is a Manager in the Auditing and Accounting Practice of Freed Maxick CPAs, P.C. where he is responsible for overseeing the planning, organization, supervision and completion of client engagements. During his professional career, Drew has obtained a broad background in the manufacturing, health care, technology, service, retail, employee benefit plan, and not-for-profit industries. He has extensive experience with Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulatory and accounting matters.

As the Director of Finance for Digital Rochester, and a member of DR’s Executive Leadership Team, Drew helps to manage the financial sustainability of the organization. He provides support to all of DR’s Special Interest Groups and Operational Programs to monitor and ensure DR’s financial goals are met.


Travis Masonis

IT Leaders Special Interest Group

Travis Masonis serves as CIO & Vice President of Information Technology at Jewish Senior Life. He previously worked at Nicholas H. Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville, NY, where he had been the Director of IT Infrastructure for the several years. Travis is also a member of the advisory panel for healthsystemcio.com. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Rochester Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Information Technology and earned his Master of Science in Health Informatics Administration at Roberts Wesleyan College.

Travis leads the DR IT Leaders SIG which focuses on emerging technologies, best practices, governance, and innovation in Information Technology. The goal of this group is to provide an educational, interactive, and collaborative forum, through its events, to foster growth and learning as it relates to IT in the Rochester community.


Rhonda Vaccaro

Major Event Planning Director

Rhonda is a results-oriented professional with extensive experience in sales, human resources and managerial relations. She has a thorough knowledge of the Rochester business community working in a range of industries including legal, tourism, environmental and currently technology. Her extensive and diverse experience has allowed her the ability to bring a unique and broad perspective to the organizations she works with. Rhonda also has a passion for community involvement and holds several volunteer positions in addition to her full time job as Account Executive with Entre Computer Services.

As the Digital Rochester Major Event Planning Director, Rhonda is responsible for planning and execution of DR’s two major events: Technology Woman of the Year & GREAT Awards.
